Everybody ( ehm…almost ) loves a good carnival. Not only do we have a socially sanctioned excuse to wear funny and ridiculously silly items but also we have a chance to get kooky-creative and party on!
So, in case you got a hot Carnival party to attend but you’re stuck on what to wear, don’t worry! Us folks here at 2 of a Kind Mag have got you covered!
Even if your party is just few hours away and you never got around to buying that Catwoman ensemble, don’t panic! You’ll not have to miss on the celebration cause you already own the right disguise! Just open your wardrobe, focus and look for inspiration: we promise you’ll be pulling together some easy peasy and clever idea in a snap!
We did just like that and for this year’s Carnival party we ended up in styling a really cute & chic costume that looked more cool than costume-y.
First of all, we had three rules: minimal effort; easy not elaborate; fun on a budget. Moreover, we were in the mood for bright colours, printed fabrics and freakish makeups yet a bit lazy to throw the perfect costume together. The solution was just right there! Those two japanese yukata, hung for years in our closet, that we’d never wear otherwise, were screaming out: funky-stylish geisha duo!!
Makeup wise, we chose to go bold! Make up is probably the most fun you can have with this costume, and you’ll always end up looking unique. Go heavy on the white foundation and for extra drama just draw all sorts of crazy, thick, colored and geometrical eyebrows. Hair up, heartshaped red lips, funky accessories and you’re good to go.
One hour and you’re ready for the freak show and for dancing the night away!

Tutti (ehm … o quasi) amano le feste di carnevale. Se ci pensate, non solo si ha la scusa perfetta per indossare accessori divertenti al limite del ridicolo ma abbiamo addirittura il lasciapassare creativo per mettere in pratica le idee più stravaganti!
Quindi, nel caso in cui abbiate in programma il classico Party di Carnevale ma siete totalmente bloccati su cosa indossare, sappiate che in realtà non avete alcun motivo di preoccupazione! Noi di 2 of a Kind Mag abbiamo la soluzione che fa per voi!
Anche se il vostro party è vicinissimo, mancano pochissime ore e non fate altro che pensare che avreste dovuto acquistare quel praticissimo completino da Catwoman, niente panico! Non dovrete rinunciare alla festa in alcun modo e questo semplicemente perché, in realtà, avete già il travestimento giusto!
Vi basterà aprire l’armadio, focalizzarvi sulla ricerca e cercare ispirazione: riuscirete ad assemblare in un baleno un costume semplice e al tempo stesso geniale! Promesso! 
Noi abbiamo fatto esattamente così e per la festa di Carnevale di quest’anno, alla fine abbiamo realizzato un rapidissimo e carinissimo travestimento senza scivolare nella pericolosissima “carnevalata”.
Prima di tutto, ci eravamo date tre regole: produrre il minimo sforzo; assemblare qualcosa di facile e non elaborato; divertirsi in economia. Inoltre, eravamo in vena di colori vivaci, tessuti stampati e trucchi bizzarri ma al tempo stesso sufficientemente pigre per non dedicarci al costume del secolo. E a quel punto la soluzione era proprio lì davanti a noi! Quei due yukata giapponesi, appesi da anni nell’ armadio, che non avevamo mai avuto modo di indossare, ci stavano praticamente chiamando e dicendo: ma…. un crazy-chic geisha duo ?!?!
Era fatta, non restava che pensare al makeup. E ovviamente abbiamo scelto di osare! Il trucco è probabilmente la parte più divertente di un travestimento del genere anche perché qualsiasi opzione scegliate, sembrerete comunque uniche e originali. Andate decise di fondotinta bianco e per aggiungere una buona dose di teatralità, provate a delineare delle pazze sopracciglia nette, colorate e geometriche. Capelli in su, labbra rigorosamente rosse e a cuoricino e sarete perfette.
Pronte in un’ora per il freak show ma soprattutto per ballare tutta la notte!
