Una turista tedesca Ingrid e un ragazzo irlandese Thomas si incontrano casualmente e finiscono per trascorrere del tempo insieme. Lui non parla tedesco e lei non conosce l’ inglese, ma le barriere linguistiche si annullano presto permettendo ai due giovani di stabilire un legame emotivo e umano insolito e profondissimo.
